Our Farm
A family operation in Calhoun County, Alabama — built on open pasture and honest work.
Our story
Who we are
We're the [TODO: Last Name] family, and we've been raising livestock on Calhoun County land for [TODO: X generations / since year]. What started as [TODO: brief origin — hobby farm, inherited land, deliberate choice to return to farming] has grown into a direct-to-consumer operation we're genuinely proud of.
This isn't a corporate operation. There's no team of managers, no outside investors, no absentee ownership. Every decision — from which animals we raise to how we manage our pastures — is made by the people who live here and work the land every day.
[TODO: add any other founding story details Daniel would like to share — why they chose sheep and cattle specifically, any significant milestones, family history with the land, etc.]

Raised on grass,
finished on pasture.
We raise [TODO: breed — e.g. Katahdin, Dorper] sheep — a hair breed that naturally sheds, allowing us to focus entirely on meat quality rather than wool management. Our flock grazes on rotated native pasture throughout the growing season.
Our lambs spend [TODO: X] months on pasture before processing. The result is mild, lean, tender meat without the strong flavor some people associate with commercially raised lamb. Once you taste the difference, it's hard to go back.
[TODO: confirm breed, pasture rotation schedule, approximate processing age, and processing partner name/location.]
Grass-fed,
never a feedlot.
Our beef cattle are [TODO: breed — e.g. Angus, Hereford, or crossbred]. From birth, they live entirely on rotated pasture — no grain finishing, no feedlot. Grass-finishing takes longer and costs more, but it produces beef with a distinct, rich flavor and a healthier fat profile.
Processing is done at [TODO: local processor name] in [TODO: city, AL], [TODO: X] miles from the farm. We inspect every animal before and after processing and stand behind every cut.
[TODO: confirm breed, approximate finishing weight, processing partner, and any humane handling certifications.]
